Hi Pavlo!
I suggest you to check the CLASSPATH in your hermes.bat file (or in other file which you use to define variables and start Hermes). Default CLASSPATH after Hermes installation looks good!

I have followed all the above steps but right after I choosing Class “com.tibco.tibjms. TibjmsConnectionFactory” - Hermes shows me Error Message:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class net.sf.cglib.beans.BeanGenerator
	at hermes.util.ReflectUtils.mixinGetterMethodsAndInstantiate(ReflectUtils.java:164)
	at hermes.util.ReflectUtils.createConnectionFactory(ReflectUtils.java:215)
	at hermes.browser.dialog.ConnectionFactoryConfigPanel$4.contentsChanged (ConnectionFactoryConfigPanel.java:238)
	at javax.swing.AbstractListModel.fireContentsChanged(AbstractListModel.java:100)
...

May be you can figure out whats going on? I'm a newbie with JMS.Thank you !

I suppose that your other jms software can consume messages. It is better to check EMS queue using tibemsadmin's <code>show queue <queue_name></code> command. If it shows pending messages, you can monitor it in Hermes. Just find target queue in the list under your session, then right-click on it and select "Browse...".

How did you run it? Did you mark both instances and then press start? They both should be "Staring Up", then both "Standing by", then one of them changes state to "Running". I will send to you some of my screenshots.

am setting up the fault tolerance between two Business Works engine which are deployed at two separate machines. It is worth noting that while setting up the primary server for the domain using domain utility, i selected TIBCO EMS as domain protocol. Also my both primary (BW Engine 2) and secondary servers (BW Engine 2) has both "Database Information Stored in Database" and "local application data" option configured.

Now i created a simple EAR file which only carries one process starter process. During the time of deployment, i selected Secondary Server as additional machine. I then selected FT Weight (300 for BWEngine 1 and 150 for BW Engine2), Enable Fault tolerance, heartbeat interval, Activation and preparation interval. I then deployed it on both BW Engine.

As a reult of deployment, i was expecting my service to be shown as running on BW Engine 1 and Standby in BW Enngine 2 but both the services are having their status as running.

I was expecting one of them to go in Running state and the other on Standby mode. I couldn't bring them running in fault tolerance mode.

May i know what step i have missed in setting up in FT between two BW Engines?

Instead of using log-max-size and log-max-rotations, version 7.2.x uses -log-rotate only. You can specify the max size for the log files here and rvrd will generate 10 log files, with each being 1/10th of the size specified in -log-rotate.

When I run this command:
rvrd -store c:\rvrd.db -logfile c:\logs\rvrd.log -log-max-size 1024 -log-max-rotations 5
This gives me error saying : -log-max-size option unknown.. The rvd version is 7.2.0. This works fine with 7.5.x!!
Any idea if the parameters were required differently for older versions of rvrd/rvd??
